Even so, we register almost every Lahore client's NTN the exact same way we register one for a client in Quetta: entirely through FBR's IRIS portal, with no need to walk into our office or FBR's Regional Tax Office on Sarwar Road.
Who in Lahore Needs an NTN
Lahore's economy runs on a genuinely wide mix of taxpayers, and each group hits the same registration requirement:

- Property investors and buyers active in DHA Lahore, Bahria Town Lahore, and Askari housing schemes
- Freelancers and remote workers billing international clients from anywhere in the city
No Visit to Our Office or FBR's RTO Required
It surprises some Lahore-based clients that being in the same city as NTNWaale doesn't change the process — FBR's IRIS system doesn't have a "walk-in" option that's any faster than the online one. Whether you're in Johar Town or Wagah, we collect your CNIC and details on WhatsApp and complete the registration from our system, the same way it happens for every other city we serve.
Documents You'll Need
- CNIC (front and back, clear photo or scan)
- Mobile number registered on your CNIC
- A working email address
- Business name and address, if registering a shop, trading business, or export firm
How the Process Works
- Send your CNIC photo and basic details to NTNWaale on WhatsApp
- We complete and submit your IRIS registration form
- FBR verifies the application, typically within a day
- Your NTN is issued and we forward the certificate to you
Because it all runs through IRIS, turnaround time is the same whether you're a trader in Shah Alam Market or a salaried employee near the Lahore Ring Road — usually same-day to 24 hours.
NTN Is Not the Same as Filer Status
Registering your NTN gets you into FBR's system, but you only appear on the Active Taxpayer List — and get the lower withholding rates on property, banking, and vehicle transactions — once you've filed at least one annual return. Given how active Lahore's property market is in DHA and Bahria Town, most of our Lahore clients ask us to handle NTN registration and their first return together.
